National EMS Week is May 16-22, 2021
The 46th Annual National EMS Week
EMS Week is a perfect time to honor those frontline heroes dedicated to providing emergency medicine that saves so many lives every day. We understand that the 2020 EMS Week was probably not a top priority due to the COVID-19 crisis. This year’s campaign will focus on What EMS is and what we do.
The 2021 EMS Week theme: "THIS IS EMS: Caring for Our Communities." This theme is particularly meaningful now, to remind people that every day we are still there to respond, support, and care for the needs of our communities.
Join us in celebrating EMS Week to honor the dedication of those who provide the day-to-day lifesaving services of medicine's "front line."
Each day of EMS Week will be focused on a specific theme, and first responders are encouraged to plan activities and events around these themes in their communities:
- Monday, May 17: EMS Education Day
- Tuesday, May 18: EMS Safety Day
- Wednesday, May 19: EMS for Children Day
- Thursday, May 20: Save-A-Life Day (CPR & National Stop the Bleed Day)
- Friday, May 21: EMS Recognition Day
